Project Background

The worst-ever floods in Pakistan’s history, that started late July 2010, have left a long trail of death and devastation, damaged infrastructure and destroyed standing crops. There has been large scale damage to infrastructure damage, such as roads, bridges, irrigation canals, dams, schools and health centres.The project was intended to take care of the urgent needs of the vulnerable people affected from floods by providing them with disaster resistant houses in Agra district Charsadda).

Project Goal
To reconstruct and rehabilitate flood affected basic infrastructures (i.e. Housing, Schools and Basic Health Units)
Project Achievement
86 destroyed flood affected houses were reconstructed and one BHU was rehabilitated.
